Who is UnGovr?

A nonprofit helping the public, government agencies, and utilities work better together.

Why you received a message from us

A resident used UnGovr to report an issue – such as a service outage, infrastructure problem, or maintenance need – and our system identified your organization as the responsible party. We routed their report to you so it can be addressed.

The resident may not know which agency or utility handles their issue. That's where we come in: we maintain a registry of government entities and utilities, and route reports to the correct place.

What we do

UnGovr maintains a comprehensive registry of government agencies and utilities across the United States and internationally. When a resident submits a service request, we:

  • Identify the correct entity responsible for the issue based on location and type
  • Route the report through the most effective channel (email, API, web form, or direct message)
  • Track the report so the resident can follow up

We currently cover 200+ countries with 320,000+ government entities, including all 50 US states and territories.

How to respond

If you received a service report from us, you can respond or provide a reference number by:

If the message included a tracking reference (e.g., SR-2026-001234), please include it in your response so we can update the resident.

Should we route differently?

If reports like this should go to a different department, contact method, or account within your organization, we'd like to know. Reach out to response@ungovr.org and we'll update our routing.

We want to make sure reports reach the right people as efficiently as possible.
